New Photos from MDA Telethon 2007:

The annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon was carried on 190 stations in the US and Canada over the long holiday weekend, and as it has been every year since 1966, was hosted by Jerry Lewis for most of the 21-1/2 hours of the broadcast.  Based, as usual, in Las Vegas, this year's efforts drew in $63.7 million, up more than $3 million over last year's broadcast.

Jerry Lewis MDA TelethonTamara got to spend some time with kids with muscular dystrophy. She was able to attend some of the annual summer Camp Aldersgate and interview children with MD and their parents. In 1997 she co-hosted the 12-hour MDA Telethon in Little Rock, and in 2000 she co-hosted in Fresno. In 2004 and 2005, she volunteered as on-air pledge collector during the telethon at the national headquarters in Los Angeles at KCET in Hollywood. Her goal is to work behind the scenes for national host Jan Carl as a telethon assistant, so viewers can hand their pledges directly to Jan through her. And since they look like twins, if the viewers' pledge is lucky enough to make it to them on air, then they get "double" their pledge. "You double your pleasure when you double your pledge. Sponsored by Wrigley's gum! ;)
